I do. Just didn't want to dismantle it until I had some info. Looks like I'm going to have to rip into it though to see just what I've got to work with. Not much out there on these saws yet. Or, I need to find a donor. There's one on ebay right now for $455 last I saw it but it has busted cases.

Currently mine has a muff mod, base gasket delete and a timing advance. It runs pretty good. I should probably just leave it alone, but I can't lol. View attachment 261551
Where did your squish end up no gasket?

Curious how consistent they are.

Well bummer. Looking at cranks from all the saws in this category, anything with a 1 or a 0 on the end of the model number, all have a step in the shaft on the flywheel side. I was hoping it would be the opposite. Having the 462 crank a little smaller than the others allowing it to be turned down to match up but that's not the case.

Oddly enough a 362 crank looks really similar. In pictures. And it shares the same stroke of 34mm. But, pictures can be deceiving.

I wish I lived in chainsaw country where there was a good shop that had some dead saws I could poke through but that ain't the case here on the gulf coast.

You should see the looks you get when you go into the dealers around here and start asking about 70cc saws. Most only stock up to the 60cc variety. You might find a 362 but its mostly farm bosses and ms250's lol.

So, I guess this project is on hold for the time being. Unless somebody has any ideas ? Looks like a base cut and squish mod for now.

Buy a 500i
The thought has crossed my mind lol. I like the 462 though. I may put a 20" lightweight on the 462 and use my old big echo with the 30" for the bigger stuff. I dont see big trees often but its usually several when I do. Got three big live oaks down on my dads I'll be dealing with in the near future. Roots just gave up on them. Not sure the 30 will make it all the way across on one of them.
