New piston and deflector installed. I will mention that the 2 screws that the deflector is mounted with sit proud to the cases. You will have an air leak at the cylinder base if you don’t use a cylinder base gasket or grind down the heads of the screws. cylinder installed. The base gasket is directional. The little tab on the gasket goes to the exhaust side.showing the port matched muffler. The gasket and heat shield are also port matched

Chain brake all assembled and brake handle installed. AV rubbers also installed.oil pump worm gear and clutch washer installed. Chain brake covers installedclutch on, bearing greased and on, clutch drum, rim sprocket, washer and E clip all on.bar plate, chain catch and spikes on

Fuel tank assembly and AV plugs on. I also switched out the original flippy caps for a set of @definative dave AM non flippy cap replacements.

The limited coil got replaced with an unlimited coil. Coil gapped to .010”

Recoil on. Decomp plugged. New NGK spark plug and top cover on

New air filter and a new air filter cover. 3/4 wrap and clutch cover on.

At this point I figured I was ready for testing this saw in some wood. Then my buddy came over to check out the saw and he decides he wanted to change a couple things.
Replaced the small single spike with dual spikes and a roller chain catcher. Switched out the elastostart for a D handle.
If all goes as planned my buddy and I will be cutting firewood this weekend so this saw will get a workout and I’ll get a video to add to this build.

The deflectors are mig welded on. Gotta sort of do small bursts with the mig and keep moving around the seam to different spots until the deflector is completely welded.
And French is Canada’s official second language.
