I would sell it.

It looks like a nice Saw, I know I like my 3.

This is another Great Buy.

Hopefully some non-Richard Cranium will come along Post Haste to buy it & not just talk a lot of Jive.

Im aware the pros were 44.7 with decompression.they didnt make a 44 mm with decompresion also pro had the wt194 carb.wich is the better carb.what i was saying is from my expieriance and others the 44 mm cuts better then the 44.7.im talking stock piston and cylinder no cutting on them whats so ever, fyi the only one that came factory is the 44 mm cylinder.although i do agree on picco chain and bar thats what i run on mine .and like i stated earlier the 44 mm saw i built cut better had more torque then my 44.7 pro saw with adjustable oiler so i put the 44 mm cylinder and piston off my 026 non pro on my pro 026 with adjustable oiler.i still believe the numbers are diff on the 44.7 decompression then the 44 non decompression.becuse there was a diff thats why i switched cylinders and pistons and my 44.7 had a cleaned up intake and exhuast ports and the 44 mm stock out cut it in and had more grunt in the cut same bar same chain same wood same carb tached the same.trust me cuz it threw me for a loop and i didnt wanna tear both topends apart but i couldnt stand it and i was selling the non pro saw so i switched jugs and slugs.in fact my buddy who is certified master stihl tech was there when we did it and he couldnt believe it i said lets switch topends and see what happens and the 44 mm stock top end stayed on my pro saw and my woods ported 44.7 jug and slug went on my saw i was selling

Actually, not all 026 pros had the adjustable wj194 carburetor. It's more of a pre epa carb. Way more standard early 026 had the adjustable carb, and the later 026 pros and Ms 260 had a non adjustable H jet

This has been my experience.

I think when discussing this topic, we forget both the time frame, & also the reality that the non-adjustable carbs were more economical, especially when talking 2000 units at a time.

Never stated that huskihl.i think you totally missed my point that i was talking about the 44mm verses the 44.7 cylinder diff.and that i had two saws with exactly same carb same flywheel same bar same chain tached the same and that the 44 mm had more grunt more torque and that the 44 mm has dome piston factory were 44.7 and i believe timing numbers are diff and im aware of the carb option on the 026 260 there were 3 maybe 4 and with and without dual jests some had and didnt have compinsater valves too thanx

If you're not one, (based on our most recent PMs), I don't believe you are, then it wasn't in reference to you, but rather the type of people that lead a seller on, & then disappear like Waldo.

Also, these same people will have characteristics like:
1. Sore Toes
2. The Desire to beat some poor ol' deceased equine below flush with the ground. I believe you can relate to this one.

Many of the members here have been on other sites together for years, & know how to take colorful comments: with a grain of salt, more or less without checking to see how the comments make them feel.

I understand your position, but also understand that I made a P.G. General reference that was very effective in getting the point across, & you took it further.

This is everyone's forum, but keep in mind there are a lot of those everyone's here that are on the same page.
