Sorry! my intent was not to single out your comment rather a general reply to the fuel being used not being an issue in non AT saws.

Perhaps it does have something to do with AT/MT saws running leaner and thus hotter as

farminkarman pointed out.

Not sure this is the case so far none of the tree service saws have had any starting issues not related to fuel. The heat hasn’t given them any issues on the mtronic saws, John has 2 400’s a bunch of 362’s, 500i and only 201 tcm’s for top handles now. They have ran and started well from -20 in winter to 100 above over last 15 years or so. He’s had ms-362’cm saws since they came out.

As stated previously I am about feed up with my 572XPG hot start issues, at this point even a non ported 462 or 500i is looking good.

Just curious...when your 572 won't restart hot, have you pulled the plug?

Edit: I'm asking because I haven't had hot restart issues with 572's...but they were/are ported and also had the fuel tank vent modified. I have had issues with the early 550's and 562's.

are the people experiencing hot start issues leaving the saws in the sun when not using them?
just curious because my 5 series start fine in any weather so far

Definitely hard to make money with a saw that won’t run
Especially a new 362 that a goof ball sets on the dozer tracks and then the operator takes off.

Or a 395 that a faller backs over with the skidder
