Hello gentlemen, I am about to undertake my first saw rebuild and Mastermind told me I should post it, so here I am. For some background, I work at a woodcarving shop and run saws all week long and know how to tune and maintenance them, but have yet to rebuild until now. I don't know if it's been said already, but I'd trash the stock air filter and add a winter mesh filter. These are renown for getting a weak spring and then running with the choke flap, which is built into the filter, partially closed.

I haven't added new videos in ages.
We could make a single take video at the GTG of you making one cut with every saw there, like the video of a guy who flew 250 RC airplanes in one day. That would account for ages worth if videos all in one.

I used Mastermind’s method and removed the aluminum transfer and the bore looks great. Measured squish and it came out to what you see in the photo. Also remembered someone asking about the carb, so there is a pic of that as well. I’m waiting on impulse, fuel, and oil lines to arrive and that should be the end of parts needed. Next I am checking the crank seals

Have these misguided hacks been helping you?
