Thanks everyone for there help, seems like a 16 is the smallest I can go, it sucks, i really don't like picco

Also, folks do seem confused when I tell them I prefer 325 on my 241 and other 40 and 50cc saws. It's all about convenience. 325 stays sharp longer, is very easy to sharpen and I have never broken a 325 file like I have picco files, the bars seem to last longer and the chassis seems stronger than picco. I also notice, at least in my use, that picco/LP like to jump the bar far more often. I usually only lose my chain on 325 if I pinch it and muscle it or a limb slaps it. I have had VXL come off the bar with minimal pinch. I think part of that might be because the cutters are more grabby?
In any case, I have 325 on that 16 inch bar on my ported 241 and it's happy.

That 241 will pull that much chain, but you got to go easy on it if you want to bury it in hardwoods. The muffler hole is tiny on these saws. Opening it up a bit will help some. The brake handle is smarlty sculpted around the exhaust, so you can make the hole big as hell and it won't burn the brake.

My brother won't let me do any mods to his 241, says it cuts just fine and he likes it quiet!

I square file his chain for him. Seems to work well.

I must really try a square grind some day, I hear it's the bee's knees

In clean wood, there's nothing like it - especially on fir and spruce.
Here in dirty hedge ash, it's a huge liability. One nick of even a soft 100 year old iron nail will begin to cripple it. Whereas I have used semi chisel all day long in filthy wood and have hit nails, wires, rocks, dirt, and it still cuts. When it does dull, a single swipe brings it back. There is no real chisel to lose to rocks or nails, so you don't basically lose an entire tooth when that happens until the rest of the chain is short enough to use it.

How did it like the mod? I do 2 - 1/4" holes, looks like you did 3.

I'll put it in wood tomorrow, seems to snappier off idle, which is a fair statement considering how quickly it was before, probably won't see the results till the mtronic readjusts

Keep me posted. They are very nice all around saws, hard to beat the power to weight, not much they can't do (from limbing to bucking).

See if the Husky small mount bar off a 435 will work with 325 050. Small and pretty light bar. I could stick it on my 200T for you to see how it matches up to the 3003 mount and oil hole.
66dl on the husky.

That should read 3005 mount. My bad.

I think that I have a bar off a 236, are they the same amount as your 435
