Take the air filter off, pour a little fuel in (from a cap) and see if it pops. If it does not, check to make sure the flywheel did not spin. Sometimes on these AM saws the fit is not right and they spin.
If it has too much compression, it may be hydraulic lock from a leaking carb. Also, try changing the plug and make sure you are making good contact inside the boot.
