MS 460 kits ... Finally!

Take the air filter off, pour a little fuel in (from a cap) and see if it pops. If it does not, check to make sure the flywheel did not spin. Sometimes on these AM saws the fit is not right and they spin.

If it has too much compression, it may be hydraulic lock from a leaking carb. Also, try changing the plug and make sure you are making good contact inside the boot.

Also, sometimes you can get hydraulic lock if it flooded but there was no pop. If you think that is it, pull the plug and let it sit over night with piston all the way down (transfers open).

I've even seen OEM 460s with leaking carbs that if you lower the piston and roll them 180 fuel will come out (with muffler pulled).

Ok I couldn’t really get into it in the field it was dark I could only pull start at the most half way. Pulled about 30 times and no pop or nothing. I had an ms 660 once do the same. But I feel comprehension on this thing feels higher

I snagged an OEM coil for the Farmertec 460 off evilbay.

That coupled with the decomp drilled out to .062” helped but didn’t eliminate the severe kickback.

Got it running and ballparked the carb settings.
