I did some 12' long 32" wide oak planks that where 1.5 tanks of fuel per cut on a 395. Heat on the bar wasn't bad, aux oiler helps a lot. The saw took it better than my body.
My Asian 660 is looking much better now!!! I thought it sucked gas. Was able to mill 34" Red Oak 7.5' on less than a tank, and I'm sure my tank is smaller. I think a tank went 1 + 1/2 boards, or about 11.5 -12 ft.
After that, I made sure to re fill after each cut.
