I recently scored a nice 357 off Craigs List a husqvarna dealer was selling has a new bearing's and seals.
They also put a new fuel lines impulse line and intake boot. After doin a little research decided to do a few things.

When I first had the jug off I only made 5 mm threads, 1 screw and loctite I don't think I will worry anymore.
Picture of the way I modded it:

Didn't see others that had done a mod to the muffler on these in time.
I tried to cut the muffler in half thinking I could remove baffle :BangHead: ending up spending hours brazing it.
I seen an old post that Mastermind had done that would have saved me some time
Not to happy the way it looks but should work maybe replace it in the future.I used a copper pipe instead of steel don't ask me why .

As long there is so little different try to bolt them all four and check again.
We are speaking about very small tolerance now.

I have a 357 that I widened ports and dropped the base gaskets. I got almost the same squish. I'm doing a 359 right now. Fun saws!
