All I can come up with is 7 tooth.

Does an 8 or 9 tooth .325” even exist?

I want some real chain speed out of a 65cc Stihl.

I experimented with a 480 husky running a custom 24 inch bar with a .325 9 tooth and 23rs stihl chain. In the end, I determined the fuss wasn't worth it. My results may vary from yours, because my test medium was western white pine and red cedar which I was doing a pre commercial thinning job on. It seemed that in these soft woods the chips would just plug up the cut.

Can the Stihl clutch drum be swapped to an oregon standard small spline? Maybe get a machine shop to make an adapter for you that fits either the standard small or large spline.

The rim part number should be found on an old parts list if it exists.

They both exist.

But I've only seen the .325x9 in standard spline.

But the 325x8 comes in stihl micro/mini spline (whatever you wanna call it) or oregons "small" spline.

I shall visit my favorite Stihl dealer then.

The drum I have is a genuine Stihl part.

Thanks fellas!

That's a lot of effort for such a simple thing.

I use them almost exclusively. Virtually same diameter as 3/8-7
