From a personal standpoint ported saws are just plain fun to run. On the ground. From a business perspective I don't know if they make as much sense. Extra sunk cost up front plus extra fuel usage.

As far as in tree use having a ported saw is way down the list of priorities for me. For medium/large removals (which is what we are really talking about with this class of saw in the tree) it's a marathon not a sprint. The extra speed/power of a ported saw is largely superfluous. It's far less important than choosing the proper cutting technique and applying it appropriately or not having to send the saw down as much because its a gas pig.

If your on a budget you can't go wrong with the Echo. If your used to running Huskies grab that 562 and don't look back. If you like the feel of a Sthil you won't be dissatisfied in the least with the 362.

Decisions decisions, thanks for all the input fella's. 462 w/ wrap may be the ultimate in tree saw. I'm more then likely gonna have to give back the saddle I've been borrowing now that my main gig is starting back up(swimming pool service company owner). So I need to fit a new saddle into my budget as well. As of this evening the echo is probably top on my list because of price. I guess my 2511t could use a friend. I truly love the 2511t, light on the saddle and easy on your arms. Thanks again for all the replies
