Randy,

Since you have trigger time on the 362, 562, 2260, 6100, 600P/620P both before and after modification, what is your overall assessment of the saws?

Performance, functionality, build quality, reliability?

@Poleman says the 620 he built really honks, and can outrun his 6100.

Randys 6100 is STOUT, he defiantly know his way around inside them a lot better than I do......I'm still scratching my head and trying to understand the 6100 design.
I've had good luck with the 620 and I feel it's a good saw also, very well built. The 6100 is a pleasure to run for me as it fits me better. Mine runs good and continues to seem to get stronger. The one BIG thing I noticed from Randys video is his has a lot more torque than mine. I went conservative on mine knowing I could go back in.
Randy defiantly has a GOOD formula on his and stronger than mine. Love the way his runs and sounds!

If I was buying a 60cc saw today. It would be one of these 6100s.

Now.....I've got a CS620 coming up in a few days....so we shall see.

I personally think the Dolmar needs a set of real pro spikes. Not hard to believe they overlooked this feature since the 6400-7900 had such terrible spikes on them for years. The saw just seems unfinished.

My gripe with Echo - I can't believe they didn't put a nicer filter on the 620P, and pay a little closer attention to weight. It could go on a diet.

The 620 isn't that heavy, it just seems that way due to it's overall size. I'd like to try one, but the ones I've held didn't feel any smaller than my ported 372 which would spank them. They seem to be very well made though. The 6100 wasn't available when I got my 562xp and I don't regret the purchase. Had Terry not been able to do the warranty work on my saw though, (about the time the 6100 came out) I would have sold the 562 and bought the 6100 instead. After running one awhile back I don't like the 6100's a/v as well as the 562 but I do like the rest of the saw very well and you'd be hard pressed either way. The 6100 is definitely a better deal though, especially through Nate.

Well.....now you have gone and done it !!! I am in the middle of getting another Dolmar and had sort ah ..kinda..maybe..perhaps been leaning towards the 5105 due to having other 60cc saws already. I may have to go back to thinking over a 6100 ...AGAIN !! Oh Maaaaaaan !! :D

I've been trying to get some top soil built up on the newly cleared land across the road. I just let some weeds grow up.....then bush hog em down. Been doing that for about three years now. Now's the time to kill the weeds and plant grass. I'm buying a better disc, another bush hog, a plow, and a seeder.

I guess you intend to do the hole job yourself with that shopping list. Big shopping list that lot...can see why a 6100 will need to be second ..OR.. Proper Buddy Rate !
