My take on it!

Pro:
- good power
- good handling
- reliable starting cold & hot
- big fuel tank
- good air filter

Con:
- weak clutch
- needs the dual "PS-550" bucking spike mod, which also upgrades the saw to captive bar nuts
- stupid easy start
- sloppy AV mounts with 20"+ B&C setup (added/edited)

Unspecified:
- k095 small Husky bar mount

I don't recall when I last cleaned it, lots of fines from bucking bone dry beech logs.
No fines got past the filter though!

I bet only @davidwyby has a dirtier air filter! ;)

Yes amazing filtration. I see only pros no cons! But I may be a bit biased as the seller 😬. I think clutch, anti vibe, etc really isn’t a concern. I think it’s more the fact that when ported they’re putting out much more power than you’d expect. You start to think your holding a much bigger saw than you really are.

I am not dishing the PS-6100!!!

I own two, almost got a third.
And I love my PS-550 which is basically a 56cc PS-6100 with upgrades that the 6100 should have featured to begin with.

Apologies for the thread hijack!

I don't need a chainsaw. I have plenty of saws....I do not need.
That is why I have 800 and growing.
Should 4 more in the next three days.
Two Wednesday
One Thursday
One Friday if it shows up
