No air filter, crikey. Probably removed because the filter kept getting clogged up by all that concrete dust - yep, that works better...

Reminds me of a bloke I did some bike work for. He got crappy with me because the oil I put on the filter 'sucked' the dust out of the air and clogged up - so he washed all the oil off and the filter never clogged again.
