It's a bridge port.
I got thoroughly excited when I saw “Mastermind meets” at the top of the page!
Meeting anything exciting these days Randy?
It's a bridge port.
Do you still use bridge ports in some saws, and if so, which ones? They are in my 460, and I love the way that thing runs.
IMO, they can have a 2 fold purpose. 1) direct the flow to the back of the cylinder, and 2) increase transfer volume.
Do you change your #s for a saw with bridge ports?
Time for a break?I've ported too damn many saws I suppose. I'm up to about 1800 or so. Posting about saws, and talking about them ain't to interesting to me anymore. I've actually more interested in older two saws and sand cast stuff than I am in porting and cant racing.
I still use them in some saws......I just don't talk about what I do and how I do it too much anymore. I've been slammed for using them......and ridiculed. I've had people copy the things I do......then find out later that some things I was doing were not much help. So, in the interest of not leading anyone down a dead end path, and keeping my sanity, I just do my job and keep to myself.
YesI want to try them in 360, 044 and 460. What do you recommend?
Blue oil and a sharp chain.I wonder why anyone, would judge, criticised or otherwise about a port shape. Lmao, that's *frenched up dude.
If you recommended it your just awful. Lol
