Fuuuuuuk yeah. King of the .404.

Mine hits 13,200 rpm in a blip (half second?)

The rev limit is in this little boxy thing separate of the coil. Talk with pav. Super fkn easy to remedy.
Ah. Thank you. I was wondering.

OK, just got in my man purse of 1201 parts. Looks like Pav chucked an empty bag and the original module? Maybe that empty bag is the unlimited kapowpow?

Also in there was the original spur sprocket he replaced with a rim sprocket.

I’ve only ever had one in my hands. Local fella wanted to run one on his mill. Tried a couple different ways and didn’t get crazy good gains but it wasn’t terrible. Carb is too small like Randy said. I closed off his original bar oiler location and made a new groove and ground his bar studs flat to fit a D009

What proper carb do you think would work?

I didn’t put enough thought into it to try and come up with a replacement. The biggest problem is the width of the bolt pattern. The 084, 3120, Dolmar 166… carbs are physically bigger with the larger bolt pattern. So it’s not just linkages you’d have to contend with

No problem. She sounds zippy now. But then it settles into that infamous low end grunt, exactly where a milling saw should. Where she settles into buried 42" bar territory, the carb feeds just fine.

2 years of grins and slabs later, the 1201 is just broken in. They're built to last.
