That white oak log has been laying there for a year now. I doubt the little 2511 chain would hold an edge long enough to take a cookie off of it.

I was thinking the 390xp would be faster in that wood. But it has the rpm advantage.

Throw a 4-5' bar on and start bucking with the two and see what happens, cause I bet the 390 will be stalling or slowing some.

The owner of this saw runs a 42" .404 on it milling.

After doing this saw, and running it some, I have thoughts. LOL

1) RPM limit is stupid low.

2) Carb is far too small.

3) Air filter seems to be very restrictive.

How would you compare it, overall, to a 395/2100/3120, 880/1?

Built super tough. One hell of an oil pump. Never gonna be an impressive saw to buck up anything under 36" stuff....but in big wood, I can see this saw working day after day in the heat without issue. It reminds me more of an 090 than any of those saws.

Mine hits 13,200 rpm in a blip (half second?)

The rev limit is in this little boxy thing separate of the coil. Talk with pav. Super fkn easy to remedy.

The owners manuals say for:
881 = 11,500 RPM
3120 = 6.2 kW/hp @ 9000 RPM

You might want to add an adjustable hi-jet carb to the list then too. @Mastermind or @huskihl can help with that item.
