I was thinking the 390xp would be faster in that wood. But it has the rpm advantage.

Throw a 4-5' bar on and start bucking with the two and see what happens, cause I bet the 390 will be stalling or slowing some.
The owner of this saw runs a 42" .404 on it milling.

How would you compare it, overall, to a 395/2100/3120, 880/1?
Built super tough. One hell of an oil pump. Never gonna be an impressive saw to buck up anything under 36" stuff....but in big wood, I can see this saw working day after day in the heat without issue. It reminds me more of an 090 than any of those saws.
