Making a saw run backwards ?

I had one do it in my shop on the way out the door backwards . The kick starter grabbed an air hose nearby and started while I pushed it back it ran right down the driveway in reverse!

Hey, if you know how to get one to run backwards, you could mount the chain on backwards and use it then. Or, you could mount the chain on correctly and flip the bar over before bolting it one. Piece of cake.

My older brother had a Simca car with a two-cycle engine... we could put it in a forward gear and push-start it backwards and have four reverse gears... it ran horribly, as the timing and porting were way off running backwards, but it was funny as hell. Could only get it up to about 25 mph or so, it sputtered so bad.

All joking aside,on a financial level,all my chainsaws are running backwards.
I reckon a lot of us pretend to ignore that fact.....
