I recently came across this poster at a saw shop.
It's the Gene Campbell memorial lumberjack show held in cottage grove, Oregon each year.
There are three classes..
Up to 80cc competing with 14" Douglas fir, 80 to 100cc and 100cc and up, both competing with doug fir 20".
All three classes will compete with two cuts per run.
There are no restrictions on entries like before. You can build your saw however you want and enter it in the size class it belongs.
I believe if I understood what I heard correctly there will be a saw challenge using available saws with your choice of chain set up. I'm assuming that's the big log bucking. He was on the road when I was talking to him so it was kind of challenging to hear everything.

If they allow pipe saws, you better have one. I have seen saws perform when Smittybilt put a pipe on them, and there is no comparison.
I was told there are no limits in either of the classes. Use any type of fuel, mods, or muffler/pipes. He said there were problems in the past with saw regulations which were unclear to several competitors who showed up and couldn't race their saws.

I suggested the timed cuts a while ago, with just a brief description of each saw so everyone knows if they are comparing Apples to Apples.
