I have one of these sitting on my shelf. I restored it completely. Yes, it still leaks a little bar oil, but believe me, pound for pound I believe it is the loudest chainsaw that has ever been built. It's deafening. Lord knows how they made this rather small saw that loud. You have to hear it to believe it. Make sure your ear plugs are attached.Well, for stock saws I've heard the early homie XL101 with the small style muffler is ear piercing. I know that what Homelite called a muffler on these is nothing more than just a cover with some slotted holes, oddly though, they're still louder than saws of equal or larger displacement that used the stack style muffler.....I have one of these sitting on my shelf.
