Have you thought about plastic welding?

I did but then I also thought that the tank is a bit shabby and the rest of the saw is in good condition. If I can't find one I will get the soldering iron on it. Don't really get why there are dozens of tanks for 372's/272's/350's/346's etc and the other saws in those series but no 357/359 replacement parts...

It is strange why there over looked. I know of one guy on ebay on the US east coast that lots of good used husqvarna parts if it came down too it. Best of luck on the search.

I'll keep an eye out, the saw is usable but I just wanted it to be back to how it should be. I like this 357xp, only had it a few weeks. Pretty impressed :applaudit:

So I will dabble my hand at a bit of plastic welding and also think I will try and polish up the tank as best as I could.

I thought it couldnt be done but I have found a youtube vid that looks legit on some other HDPE motorcycle fuel tank.
Think it is pretty interesting and achievable.
