I think the rule is more duck tape after you break your bigger hammer. Sometimes bailing wire can be added to the mix!! 🤣
At work we have "Adam" (1.5kg) & "Eve" (1.0kg) hammers with welded on steel pipes.
They seem to work quite well.
I might go that route with my sledgehammer once I find a nice pipe (and I may know just where there might be two of a good length, OD & wall thickness sitting idle for 2-3 decades). :thumbsup:

Still gonna use lots of duck tape to cushion and grip the pipe/handle though. šŸ™ƒ
