I know this has been discussed but I'm looking into buying my first set of chaps. Price does matter (because I don't have alot to spend),just looking for thoughts and opinions, thanks

Locally our stihl dealer and husky dealer both sell nice chaps for about 100. One thing to look for is whether or not they are washable. I know the stihl ones are washable.
You need to wash them occasionally because the fibers need to be able to tear out and clog the cutting attachment.

Also you can chose between apron and wrap chaps the wrap go around your calf and offer more protection but will restrict mobility some.

when you get chaps make sure that you wear them tight, specifically on your left leg. The left leg is the most likey to be injured by chainsaws. Wearing chaps loose will allow the saw to spin the chaps on your leg and still cut your leg.

there is also info on chaps in the safety section.

Thanks David, I'm kinda leaning towards the forester brand myself, but I wanted to get other opinions also.

94F2FDD6-23DC-4D44-AC8C-F247D48D0EBC.jpeg I just got a really good deal on Husqvarna technical chaps on eBay

I wear Labonville wraps back in Alaska and I really like the way these Hooski chaps fit

They hug my legs much better without binding or feeling restrictive

Now I need new boots...

Don’t think those rubber toe caps would slow down a toy saw

What size you wear Micheal? I've got some Viking black tusks I'd like to sell. Only wore them a couple times. Don't like the weight. They're full on safety boots, not just steel toes.
