And if so, just running the saw would create leaks. Oil/Tank temps climb higher and faster with use then outside temps.
But when running...the oil has somewhere to go that is desired and it is compelled to do so with a pump.
I just drain mine when not using them in the next few days. I have old non flip cap that I put 1/4npt barbs into to make things ez to drain.

Dang. I don't remember showing you my shed! That plywood floor definitely ain't gonna rust! Great idea, @dangerousatom !Make pouring out a lot neater. Just taking the cap off and pouring out, at least for me, made a big mess on the bottles rim and sides, the work bench and about everywhere else.
