Klotz Oil Thread

The Super TechniPlate label says it won't blend with some petroleum and synthetic oils, probably not a good idea to mix that one with other oils.

Just asking here. I know Klotz doesn't mix well below a certain temp. BUT once mixed in warm room, will it separate when used in cold temps?
Once mixed, does it stay mixed?

Yeah the benol gave me problems

It does something. It fouled spark plugs. Nothing wanted to run.

It’ll work to a certain temperature. Just not sure what that temperature is. It was cold that day. Sub freezing

Which one did you get? Original works fine in the winter from my use down to 10 degrees. That’s about as cold as I’ll get it and run a saw in. Snowmobile techniplate will work well below 0.

I’ve ran Benin for a couple years, from below zero to above 100 degrees.

I run Super at 40:1 and never had any problems at any temperature. Used to love the smell, but my smeller doesnt work anymore.

Is klotz a regional/super specialized oil brand? I never heard of it before forums and ive never seen it for sale anywhere around me, tho i guess i havent looked that hard haha.

I only see it in bike shops/ dealers around here.

Gotcha, not much in the way of bike shops where i am, and not something im into so that makes sense.

I thank everyone for their responses. I was using a little of the last of the sample you sent me Mike. And some Benol.
It was mixed in warm room temperature climate. I was just curious if it separates after it has been mixed or not. I pretty much guarantee I won't be out in weather cold enough to freeze my balls off just to cut wood, so I think I am safe. Lol

You’ll be fine then. It can fall out overnight sitting in real cold temperatures.
