How would that effect the amount of intake air being directed over the cylinder fins for cooling?

i dont think it would have any negative affect. it is very fine mesh it allows air through just fine

OK, anyone ever try making an "outerwear" out of the HEPA stuff the reusable/washable vacuum cleaner bags are made of?

Grease will stop anything from getting past the filter neck, unlike the turkey necked @dall he keeps slipping into anything to do about a Husqvarna and litter it with little tiny pecker tracks all over the place.

As long as the filter isnt more clogged causing the grease to suck thru.

I put a k&n filter with pre filter on my milling saw , it works really well. I dusted the first motor

One thing I want to try out is the high pressure vacuum grease.

It’s supposed to be better suited for high heat suction situations…

Don’t anyone get excited about that last sentence. There’s no joking when it comes to proper lube selection.

I have only one Saw for cutting dry wood and this have a fine Filter and a pre filter who is oiled. I never cut dry wood with any other saw.

Chainsaws are not made for cutting dry wood.

Make a adapter for a v stack in your shop , like a K&N with a pre filter like Outerwear’s , that’s what I did for other saws

That sounds interesting. I don't use the 3120 much but the chain isn't dull and IIRC that was maybe 1 tank. My 461 filter is perfect, I think my 6100 is, or very close.
