Metering lever either not correct, or diaphragm not in slot of lever if it has one , check needle to . 🤔, possibly.

Would having the gasket on the wrong side of the diaphragm cause this? Or would the pop-off test prove that it's setup correctly and not affecting the metering lever?

No restriction in exhaust, going to tear carb back down and go through it again

So a little update. I should have said i had actually modded a 670 carb to go on this. Which is no biggy except, the carb had a changable jet like one in pic. Not a welch plug like the other style 670 in pic. So digging through my carbs i found a tillitson carb off a stihl?? at least thats what the diaphram plate was stamped with. So in that carb i found a jet that was not drill with jet, it was solid except for it does have a ball in it which acts as a defusser??? Any how the saw can now be adjusted properly with screw. If your wondering why i used this carb, well is because i did a lil port job and this has bigger bore. 20240203_162437.jpg
