Looks like you would need to exchange the recoil and cut the decomp hole or plug the decomp

What can you guys tell me about this Jonsereds 50 that I picked up this past weekend? I’ve been looking for a silvertop jonsereds to add to the rest and saw this one for a fair price. It had some sort of twine jammed in the clutch bearing originally and sounded rough but once cleaned up seems to run good and oils. I need to get a chain made for it before I can test it out.CA8856D4-4FB5-4DD2-AE24-C26FA62D6E05.jpeg

I've never been able to figure out what the measurement markings on the 50cc range Jonsered clutch covers were used for. Anyone here able to explain them?

I've been told that in Sweden you can't cut a tree unless it's of a certain size. Those markings are for measuring the tree in centimeters.

The 50 was the first saw in the 50/51/52/52e/49sp family of saws. There were two versions of the saw. The early ones were 44cc (42mm cylinder). The later ones were 49cc (44mm cylinder) like the rest of the family. I attached the brochure.

I picked up a CS2236 top handle. I'm aware the Redmax 3500t Husqvarna t435 are the same saws. What are the strengths and weaknesses of this design?

Does anyone have a good source/solution for replacing the fuel hose on a Jonsereds 621? This is the one that’s larger on one end and smaller on the carb inlet end.

Like anything else..not cheap lol. These are pricey to make. The stupid mica spacer that was there disintegrated. These won't:)
Yeah it wasn't the best design but I wonder how well it's gonna act on a hot day as an insulator being aluminum with the gas tank in the case.

I dunno. I see that its not just a gasket but a heat insulator... still doesn't matter. Its not as much a matter of getting things back to factory perfect as a matter of just getting things running again. If that mica insulator dissappears....the saw has 2 options...sit on a shelf or take its chances with an aluminum spacer.

How do the original spacers usually cope with cylinder removal and installation?

Apparently they are fragile. It probably is possible to reuse them but they are easily messed up. And they are nla.
