Well, Jonny Red is now officially sharing a cell with Poulan and Mac in the big box retailer penitentiary. Our local Costco now sells Jred products, including the push mowers and zero turns that have been such hot sellers everywhere else.

Menards in has jonsered up to 50cc on the shelf right next to the Remington and poulan/poulan pro.

Looking for thoughts on a Jonsreds 751, I know nothing about them but was given a couple with a few other saws. Worth having as a collector saw or not really worth anything?

I’m guessing they are the same saw just by looks, may be two different models on the same chassis too I’m not up on my jonsereds as much as others

The complete saw is a 751. The other is a 601. They look similar but share little. These were the last non-AV saws made by Jonsereds, the 751 being replaced by the 80 and the 601 by the 62/621 although the 601 stayed in the lineup as a lower cost option for a few years. The 601 is much more common than the 751. I have one of each and they are very smooth for a non-av saw. If you are looking to get rid of them I know someone who is looking for a 751.

How can you tell what the other one is? Not saying your wrong just curious what gives it away as a 601?

The big give away is the top cover. The 601 has two screws on the clutch side while the 751 has only one.

Chains were done on these. I had linked him to one over half of new is why he wanted to offer doing 10 chains for me.
Impressed with the chains and shipping back forth.

Got 7 or 8 of these condensers in a box of parts that look mostly like jonsered parts. Any idea what they fit?

Did all the 751’s come with this style spark plug?

The 751 has good compression and turns over smoothly. Checked spark and it had nice blue spark and fired on gas in cylinder. I think it will be a nice runner after I get all the oil cleaned off it.
