Finally have something for the jred thread. Should be coming home next week.

Anyone collect or use the jonsered saws? Just picked up a jred 2163 62cc small mount with front tensioner. Can put the 365 372 375 OE topends on it.
Plus a jred 490 49cc. Both run. But want to check them out.
I missed on the jred 2171. But have the paperwork for the 2163 and 2171 bought new $600 2002 2163 and $650 2005 2171. Both show show sold with 20" bars. I put the bar cover on the wall already. Like the bag too.
490 makes for a badazz 3ci race saw when built and ported.

490 is pending already on CR. Just posted less then a min or so ago.

Its for sale if nice enough for you. Talking with about 8 folks on it over on chainsaw repair right now.
I dont collect or clean up saws though for pics.

Piston was like new, strong witness lines.

She oils good too.

1 fastener is wrong type on the whole saw. Front left top cover one, tad short but right threads. Not bad.

490 has been paid for over at CR.

When you find that bar you dont remember buying = priceless.
Was looking for a small mount K095 bar in 16-20 to test on the jred 2163.

Tested a CR members chains he does on 3 franzen's. I showed him a link to one over half the cost of new saveings on CR.
So he offered to do 10 chains for me. Wasnt going to take him up. But then thought I would send different brands and styles to see how those things do.
Top notch and good cutting stuff. Was cutting around 16" dry ash.

Good thing David you put a down payment on this badboy. Was having 2nd thoughts on letting her go.
Runs the way 59cc-62cc saw should IMHO.

Better then I remember my fresh built 362xp did. She is a high strung cutting machine.

Chains were done on these. I had linked him to one over half of new is why he wanted to offer doing 10 chains for me.
Impressed with the chains and shipping back forth.

His shop here in Ohio.

Anyone know of a source for 820/920-30 base gaskets or another model that would work?

This one walked through the door yesterday. The owner passed away and the family is trying to get things cleared out. It would not run so I installed diaphragms & gaskets in the carburetor and it was off to the races. Since they were more interested in clearing things out that getting top dollar, I made him an offer and it stayed with me.

Any of you jonsered guys know what saws share a common o/o switch with the 451E? At least size wise? My 451E has a busted switch and trying to do a workaround. The hole in the case has a ~11/32” hole. Too small to use big box switches without drilling
