@Johnmn, if you compare a 365 cylinder to a 372, I think you will find gains in the lower transfers. The port shapes them self are similar in opening points but the area of the port is greater on the larger cylinder. With saying that, the combustion chamber is larger on a 365. So, I would leave the exhaust lower, and at least raise the transfers up a few degrees. The intake in the mid 70's range. This should yield a noticeable gain and make your friend happy.

What are your plans for the muffler?

Anyone know stock 372 numbers? Would be helpful to know what the factory decided worked with a bigger jug on the same case.

Never done a 365, but they seem to dominate the racing circuit in their class. Transfer tunnels seem huge for their displacement. I'd assume that the case volume is relatively large for its bore and swept volume.

John, what's the intended use for the saw?

Again, never done one, but I'm interested in theory. Wanna confirm that I'm talking out of my arse with any recommendations.

My plans for the muffler are to enlarge the factory opening and maybe add a second port. This will just be a firewood saw nothing more. I thought I had read on here that if you had a torque saw you could aim for a little more rpm with your numbers and visa versa... I could be totally wrong but that's what sticks in my tiny brain. All help is greatly appreciated

Started assembling tonight, almost done front handle and the covers left mainly waiting on the sealant to dry. I'll take a video Friday

I have more pics I took but seem to be having trouble getting them to load. Anyone else have this problem?
