Hi Folks.
I have a friend that needs a new piston for a 2077

The 2077 piston has a compression height of 22.5mm and overall height of 42.5mm

He has been told an 046/460 piston will work and when I dug the Meteor 046 piston I have here out, its compression height measures at 21.5mm but the Meteor website claims 22.5mm???

Can someone cross check my measurements please.
I get 15.5mm from crown to pin top plus half the pin at 6mm is 21.5mm in my book and 39.5mm overall height.

The other piston I was looking at was a Dolmar PS9000 piston with 22mm comp height and 44mm OAL
A gasket delete and trim 1.5mm off the skirts and it would be very close to stock provided the dual ring ends tuck in.

Can anyone recommend a piston to use?

Well he just messaged me to say he tracked down a 2077 meteor piston?

Im still curious about the measurement difference in the 460 piston I have and what the Meteor website says

I don't have a meteor. I have an oem I can measure.

I got the same 15.5 pin to crown. 066 is 17mm. I think the 64 is the same

Best option IMO for you is to use a 064 meteor. Just need to open the pin bosses.

The BB372 is drop in but no good aftermarket piston. Have used and worked for stock.
