Anybody have any experience with this mower or the Briggs 19.5 that comes in it? Boss just bought one for 100. Bucks but it burns a *s-word ton of oil like half a quart every hour

How dark is the oil? It probably has 392 hours on the same oil and carbon has the rings stuck

run some ATF in the gas, it'll clean the carbon out of it.

An interesting answer involving head gaskets and oil consumption in this thread. Seems like a quick google does bring up head gaskets a fair bit.

Put some high detergent diesel engine oil for a bit and clean it out . Briggs seem to wear very quickly if the oil isn't changed though

Guy was right on services and maintenance. Oil is clean but a lot of carbon in the combustion chamber. I ordered gaskets pushrods cause they look weird and valve seals
