JB Weld: the magic goo

Fail - The magnets on the bottom of a magnetic parts dish. I don't know if it was because of the plastic on the magnets (the large ones, like 3" across) or from dropping it on and pulling it off the steel table. I swear I cleaned the heck out of both surfaces.

Favorite - Cast iron radiator from in the house. Found the crack, ground out a valley and filled it. Pressure tested after 24 hrs but must've been too soon. Patched again and let it sit 2 days. Good to go.

One of my cousins has a 70's Honda xl250 that threw the chain and busted a hole in the case at counter shaft sproket about the size of your thumb. A little piece of wire screen and some jb weld did the trick. It's been like that for over a decade now.

I broke the side case off a 230 quad sport and built a new case chunk out of JB. It's all about the prep.

Not sure, but I know that a 3/4" conduit soldered on the front cover of a jred 670 will melt off and be laying on the ground about 10 seconds into a cut with regular solder. It's probably not nearly as hot out by the perimeter tho

Well I know the steel was good for a Briggs 5hp gasket and didn't leak or burn on a piss revved exhaust glowing snowblower

We used Devcon to fill some bad puts on a sealing surface for the water pump on a D6R dozed a few years ago. Built it up, let it set, machined it and sent it to work. Still good to this day.

The chain brake on my 2100 is held together by JB and a rivet.
