Lol. Both saws I got from him had rubbed pistons.

His excuse was “you just can’t get everything out of the case with a build, no matter how hard you try. Keep running it and it will rub out.”

In the end, I think it was assymetric piston loading from the bore not being perpendicular to the base ala Belt Sander.

12 hours is just about broken in. WTF
Guy was one heck of a salesman. I guess he just builds GTG Saws. A few short cuts, shut her down put it away. A few months from now, cut a few cookies, put it away. After a while, he had his excuses for when the issues arose. [emoji34]

Tach says 6, however the original tachometer was borrowed for a bike and this one was installed, 12 since my possession at least, between J and the CT GTG, it's probably a little higher


Still though it's not a dream it happened lol

My theory was that he used a cheap piston, and grinded the hell out of it to make it light, saw was a runner not denying it one bit.


Either a cheap or a very used piston was swapped.
I’ll help you anyway I can

Mayhaps the base could be off, square it up, new piston, she runs great. He does build great runners, so long as it doesn’t have alot of time on them
