Now I knew a guy, knew him very well who raced the TT in the 60's in go karts and hit over 130 MPH in the 60's running 3 Mc 10's .He's in the national go kart hall of fame .Kenny Burden, Waynesfield Ohio .Google it if you like .That guy had an IQ that was off the scale but some times was nutty as a loon .

My favorite race of any motor sports. A good friend of mine from Scotland takes the ferry over every year, he usually likes the Bray hill area. Sport bikes are popular over there and as you probably know different specs. They get all the good stuff first. The Honda VFR surprisingly is a popular bike over there since Joey Dunlop threw a leg over the RC45. I'd love to go ride the roads over there nosurprise why sport bikes are King there kinda like Harley is here. I get lucky every year well not every year but every other year my buddy will send me a couple TT shirts. I usually trade them for motorcycle stuff from a buddy who works at a power sports dealership who's a TT fanatic....

Yeah, maybe that's why the sport tourer bike market does so well there, remember the Ducati I think it was the ST-4 basically a sport tourer with the 996 or 999 desmo motor? I could have and should have been across the pond already. I'm going to do it soon I have to go to one Isle of Man in my life and with what seems like everybody and their brother trying to stop the TT I am gonna make it soon my goal is 2019. I can't wait...

Guy Martin was very lucky he was riding the new Honda when coming down to a corner @ 130-140 mph lost his gears he only had neutral and had to use the kerb and banks to slow him down

I love the TT and it is on my list to go one year. I follow it every year and it must be 10 times more exciting in person. I have ridden 4 Triumph Speed Triples over 18 years and sold the last one an '11 1050 (had an 05 1050 too) a year or so ago to try an 07 Buell Lightning xb12s. I really like the sound but miss the 6th cog and the 40 hps I sold. These are all old man's sport bikes with higher bars. Wish I could find my favorite TT clip with them taking a tight left corner around a building while exhausts are breathing fire and filling the nook with beautiful noise.

3 people dead in 3 days?!?! Why not use a proper track with proper gravel run-offs and soft walls?

none want to die, but if ya asked some of em, they'd say there if it was gonna be racin...

Yes they've all seen the history they know all the dangers and most of them have had too ride around the mangled bikes and colleagues but it's in there blood
That you can't take away

But the less published Northern Ireland and Ulster road races are pretty scary
