The best part of the ver II 362 is the new filter. The filter on the first 362 sucked. I really wish they would give the ver II Saws a new designation.

The Step from the normal Airfilter to the HD2 Filter was made with the first MS 362 Facelift and also with the beginning of the first MS 362 Mtronic version.

Thank you sir. I only knew if the round filters. The round filters are definitely much better.

That filter is not new, it was on the M Tron Ver I saws, just was not on the pre M Tron saws.

No they went from the normal filter to the round.
MS 362 without M-Tron and normal filter -> MS 362 Mtron with round HD2 Filter -> MS 362 II Mtron with the fancy cylinder and clutch cover and round HD2 Filter

No!!! The round filter came in with M Tronic Ver I and has stayed. The other filter is from the older saws.

Yes, nohoff is right with the new solenoid valve, and the new m-tronic version 3 has also a changed calibration prodcedure.

Sparkplug with 10mm thread is Version 3 and spark plug with 14mm thread is Version 1

Now I need to take the plug out of my 362...if there is a version 3 for it?

Ms362.1 - mtronic and hd2
Ms362.2 - slant fins and clutch cover

Do I have that right? This is hard to follow right now.

MS 362 are all MS 362 with the old cylinder/Clutch cover.
The changes between first non-Mtronic machines and the M-tronic machines aren't that big.
For example new MS 362 have the clutch developed for the MS 500i

But the slanted fin MS 362 got a update.
So slanted fin MS 362 with the 10mm spark plug thread mean M-Tronic Version 3 on the MS 362 Version 2.
Slanted fin MS 362 with 14 spark plug means M-Tronic version 1

MS 362 with 10mm spark plug are produced since 10/2017

The made the M-Tronic version clearly visible on the german machines.
