Key Word Being Chit.

You do know I was just yanking your chain, right?

In all seriousness, the 462 looks like a good saw. 500i looks interesting as well. Fuel injection for the first time on a chainsaw.

I'd just prefer a 572 if I had to choose one of the two. (462 or 572) I've always had a bit of a hankering for Huskies.

I have looked at some Stihls. They're not junk, but some of their models certainly aren't the best. Same for Husky, Dolmar, etc.

Both those Stihls will be a pound or more less weight than the Husky. Unless that Husky is a super performer, or very low priced, I can not imagine not choosing a lighter fuel injected 80 cc saw over it. But, then again, we all have our bias!

572 is gonna be the perfect replacement in the 70cc weight class. Look at the 462 as a 60cc weight class saw with 70cc class power. As such stihl can eliminate the 362 and use a 462 to obliterate the 562xp. At it's posted weight 462 is going to have the best power to weight ratio we have seen in a while.
Time for a big chit in this thread... Husky 572 for the win! Husky -->:2guns: :grazy:<--Stihl

Thanks for the videos. It seems like people are liking them so far. The video above from Alaska is curious to me. They put a pretty fair amount of production value to make the ad, but the guys only got to test the saw for a couple of days. It'd be nice to have the ad based on a more thorough test. Oh well,
Same as the husky videos - the advertising videos have no relationship to the real testing.
All pretty for the videos, but the real testing was just grubby, hard work in the bush. Couldn't imagine a production crew actually getting there to film it, let alone anyone pay them to stay there for any length of time.

Except that the 362 Ver II is only 12.5 lbs, which gives it a place and a good power to wt relationship.

Just recently got my MMWS 261 Ver II, and I'm really liking it.

You were supposed to get off the scale first!

He was quoting you Mike...

Your sense of humour a little bruised that you missed it? We might be friends with Dall but we rather kid around than attack someone.

Thanks for pointing it out, I fixed it!

And yes, I did miss it, but also I was just kidding with Mike, he and I are friends.

Too bad about the Dall situation, I had no idea he was taking it all so serious, but frankly, when you start attacking a person's family member's, you are out of line, there was no call for that. I think there were some other issues under the surface other than him just disagreeing with me.

As much as I'd probably buy the MS462 as a 70cc saw upgrade based on its paper specs, the 572xp has me intrigued, specs are just that & I really think this 572 could be a good saw. I can invision how the 462 will run but the 572 with f/c crank has me 'wanting' to try it out. Husky knows how to put personality into their saws.
