They put a pretty fair amount of production value to make the ad, but the guys only got to test the saw for a couple of days. It'd be nice to have the ad based on a more thorough test. Oh well,

Anybody know why they did not use the 441 style air injection? Does it add weight? Seems they had finally fixed one of the weakest points of a Stihl.

The 462 has the same pre-filtration system like the 261 or 362, in my opinion equal to the 441. But i dont understand why they choose the old style "filter on tank housing" solution without pre-filtration (likely) on the MS500i?!

You have to think out of the box. Someone told me the ECU sits right next to the tank.
So they have another filter concept, also they dont need space for a carb on these saw.

Its much smaller on the TS500i. I would say only half of the volume and its more flexible. No Choke linkage or gas lines. Only one cable.

I'm still an HD-2 Fan, they do very well for me. Jeff, my 044, 440, Hybrid, 460, 066s and 660 were all wearing them.
