I could not go through a season without something going wrong on the Homelites, usually the recoil. Often had to repair them several times a year. Got sick of doing it.
The Stihl was faster, stronger, and dead solid on reliability.
And I thought the *s-word House Rat was in N.Korea.
Good job!
Thanks Heath. I now work smarter, not harder. [emoji106]

I believe the 410 was Homelite's answer to the 044, but it was too little, too late, & Electrolux did the rest.
I could be wrong, but I think the 410 may have been the 330s big brother. They were the new Homelite "high speed" saws, they did 7,500 RPM! I don't think you would want to run one against a 044 in Randy ported the 410 and the 044 was bone stock.
Maybe it would compare to the 041.

You know when Americans weren't in a hurry these saws were fine. But today it's all about the "hurry up and wait" or "hurry up and get tired" as I get older.

I don't think Electrolux had anything to do with Homelite, that was Techtronic Industries which did the same thing to Homelite as Electrolux did to Poulan. Same end result just a different company.
