I miss the simple stuff too Nate. My 51 Ford F1 had a SBC in it with one wire to the alternator, one to the HEI, and two on the starter. Temp and oil were mechanical connections. A single vacuum line to the transmission, and a speedo cable.......

What else did it need?
A blower...

A driver with some common sense!

That's the problem with all of today's great technology. It has created a generation of folks that are too inept to do anything for themselves. Everything has to be automatic. The number of people who cannot drive a manual transmission is baffling to me. A 3spd on the column is now practically an anti theft device.

HD2 filter, DP exhaust cover, and the timing advanced.

Hey, I get to smile when you pull the trigger on my saws at GTGs, what else matters???

Besides, I learned all these tricks (and how to do them) from others on these sites with more knowledge than I.

They just happened to all work great on my 044/440s w/o any further adjusting of the squish, what could be better?

:rolleyes:Fuel injected chainsaws. Just wait till *s-word starts failing on them or you drop one. I don't see commercial guys being interested in this at all. I believe it's a good chance for some of the other companies to make a big impact in the commercial world.

I'm excited by the new technologies.

Yeah, I miss the simplicity of the old stuff, but enjoy seeing what's coming around the corner.
