I always thought that the 3rd member of the Swedish saw family got short changed by Elux. Pioneer/Partner was a pretty good lineup of saws. Could've done more with it. Took it upon myself to correct that injustice.

This project started out to be an April fools joke. Complete with a BS story about the discovery of some rare Partner prototype found in Norway. But thought that would be kind of a silly way to go. Plus, anyone really familiar with the timeline would know that by the time the first of these saws went into production in 1996, the decals would have been Poulan Pro.

I'm gonna run it nbbt, and have some fun with it. Don't expect the spray can paint to hold up like the factory stuff, but I don't care. The whole thing is a goof to begin with. Either way, it looks better to me than the blue or gray/black things coming out of China.

That story would have worked good Bob, as I recall that Pioneer/Partner were marketed in parts of Europe sometime after the Poulan Pro thing was done here in the States.
In any case, this could be a sign of either too much time on the hand or too much yellow paint on hand, It's unclear at this point which. Lol
It is however a fetching looking saw and even a Poulan Pro version would have looked good in that color scheme. Speaking of Poulan's...
How about a Poulan counter vibe model 7100, have any green paint?

There's quite a cool (albeit tough shape) Partner dealership sign at my local antique mall. I'm sure it's overpriced but really neat nonetheless and if I had the wall space it would be far more tempting.
