The 26 is also a 9mm. Weighs about the same but is a bit thinner. I've never cared much for the larger Glocks but the 26 is a sweet pistol for sure. I actually shoot it better than my 19.

Action is from a late 1960's savage left-hand rifle. Stock is a Mcmillan HTG in woodland camo color. Barrel is a 26" #8 contour Krieger with a 1:8.5 twist. Bullets in that load were Berger hybrids in 140gr. The 140gr. berger VLD's kill quick.

You rock! Now that I think about it, I probably should have got the VTR version of the 700 instead of the sporter. I don't find a heavy barrel too hard to pack around, and it really tightens the groups.

One thing I've noticed about a heavy barrel is it allows you to hold the crosshairs/reticle very steady on long shots. Also recoil seems to be less.
Best I remember that 264 barrel (#8 contour) weighs 6lbs by itself. I have a #5 contour Krieger on my Weatherby mark V in 7STW. The #8 contour dwarfs the #5.

That is why i chose the magnum sporter contour for my .257 Roberts. I have a bit of essential tremor and more weight out front really helps. If I ever shoot out the bore I'll just open it up to a 6.5x55.

As I understand it, Sig has come out with a revised trigger mechanism for the 320 which is supposed to reduce the already small chance of going bang if it is dropped. It is not a recall, but Sig will install the new parts upon customer request. You may want to find out if your pistol is affected by it, I have read that turnaround is very fast and Sig pays shipping both ways.

This mentioned problem has been resolved completely ( I spoke with the Sig customer service rep yesterday). I confirmed that the serial on this weapon had already had the upgrade. Thanks for letting me know.
My oldest son and I spent some time at the range today. We had 2 Smith & Wesson pistols a Glock and this Sig. I like the Sig best now. It was a wonderful gift from my 2 sons and I am very grateful.
I highly recommend the Sig Sauer P32o sub compact-- at least it suits my needs.

Another satisfied customer!

I spent some time with my 2016 Browning Hi-Power yesterday. On the menu was 122 grain truncated cone slugs over 3.5 grains 700X. This pistol is a real work of art and shoots great. Only thing is, it has a very stiff and somewhat creepy trigger pull. The design of the Grand Puissance is such that it will never have a target trigger like a good 1911, given that the trigger bar is in the slide not the frame and there is necessarily some slop in the design. Still, I can shoot it as well as any of my other pistols and it should smooth out with use.

Most elegant handgun ever produced.
A 6" blue Colt Python is a close second.

Thanks bro, I totally agree and have wanted an HP ever since I was a kid. I'm glad I finally pulled the trigger and bought one, as FN discontinued it in 2017. Mine has polished blue, target sights, and checkered wood grips. Strangely it was only $100.00 more than the fixed sights/matte black milspec version.

Yesterday, I went to the indoor range with my best friend. I brought the Glock 19 and BHP, he brought his Sig P320. He tried my favorite 9mm load in the Sig, 3.8 grains Titegroup/124 grain plated flat point at 1.055 OAL, and his groups instantly shrank compared to store bought fmj. So we made a deal. From now on, I supply the ammo and he covers the range fees!

Sounds like a good arrangement.
The Sig P320 sub compact I just received performed flawlessly at the range. I am very satisfied.
I would like to try some of the rounds you speak of though for comparison. Thanks for posting.

Wow, tough to cut it down to three. Though for carry I always had my circa 1994-5 1st gen G19 at my side or in the glove box while travelling back when I lived in Texas.

The rest are like children. I couldn't choose. I carried this model 19 when I did recovery work for a friends towing company:

And everyone has to have a gun for discreet work:

Yes, I am fond of S&W:

And it's amazing how fast you can reload a 10mm model 28 with moon clips:

Bought a 3 inch Sp101 for $300 on impulse off a randomer at at a gun show. Hope it's legal.

I am also a 1911 guy at heart. STI and Ace Custom 45's are located in Texas. In fact, I once lived less than a block from STI, and a 20 mins drive from Larue and Brazos Gun Works:

And owned one of the rare desert tan Glocks they released in like 2005 or so. They are common now, I bet:

And of course there was the 45 tactial. I think it had a Knights suppressor way back when? I forget.

Times 3, plus one.
Close enough.

Idk if I could name all 3 but a minty konesburg colt would be at the top of my list.

Love those 94's! They just get better with age. What calibers? You gotta Williams FP on the lower one I see. The trapper looks a bit top heavy though! I currently have a beater 94 AE in layaway jail. Has a rusty bore so it might be reborn as a .38-55.

Thanks bud, I love me some Model 94 also. The one pictured with my model 57 is my .32 Special (made 1954), the trapper is my wife’s and is a .44 Mag (it’s got a wart:(). Picked up a nice pre-war 30-30 for my oldest boy for Christmas this year, came with a marbles Tang sight.

My 32 passed from my grandfather to my dad, then my older brother and finally to me. It’s the rifle that started my love of Winchester’s as a kid. Was always excited when dad grabbed the 32 to go hunting.

Definitely. Wood and steel looks better and feels better than plastic and steel.
