Yes sir.........freezer bound.
The US is a big place !! Please excuse my ignorance ...your location ...central PA ?I live what seems like a long way away from some of my friends I have made on here. Its funny but chainsaws or what encompasses the use of them involves hard work, determination and perseverance. All qualities of people I prefer to surround myself with. Glad your here.
I had one who thought it was fun to try to pick up the back of the tractor by head-butting the round bale. Yeah,we ate him. I don't step in the pasture with a bull with out a gun. Ever.
I've only been around white face herefords. Walk up to a 2000 lb bull to pet his forehead and watch his eyes roll back into his head. Ben, Curly, and Pretty Boy. But no picsI was under a 706 ih wheels were coming up I was safe but shook up full rage mode for no reason. After he was done I coulda pet him strange beasts they are
They tend to get a lil aggressive w round bales...
I love Hereford bulls. They just flat do their job. I had one stick that big wooly Hereford head through the bottom corner of the sliding door on the stock trailer cause he didn't want to leave the cows. So I hauled his dumb ass to the next cow pasture just like that. Took me two days to get that door straight and sliding again.I've only been around white face herefords. It's good to hear you feel better, health go always first. If you are a bit late with some work, you can take more time with my saw, all the time you need.
The only aggression I've seen out of dad's bulls was from Pretty Boy. His mom was a heifer and died having him. Dad raised him to not be scared. He'd follow me around while cleaning the barn and nudge me. Well that nudging became pushing. Until I brought in a red 8' rope lead and cracked him across the ass. We were good to go after thatMy last bull I ate was named psycho Sid
Ended up earning his name this one has no name he's a herford angus just big boy guess that's his name now

I found this picture from 20+ years ago of me working cattle. Doc Gates is about to give this young fellow the "bucket treatment".

I found working the front end (dehorning, worming, implanting, tagging ears, etc.) to be less dangerous.
Let me guess. Those Burdizzo clamps are now in your collection.
