I have an old (1970s) Stihl 041 Farm Boss that I am attached to and would like to repair to use as a backup. Somehow, oil has found its way into the cylinder and locks the saw up. Has anyone had this happen? Where can I find replacement parts for this saw?

I had never looked at the IPL of this saw before this thread .In scanning over it it appears to have a worm gear driven oil pump very similar to what is on a pair of Partner P-100's I recently restored .That pump has an o-ring sealing the pump shaft from the pump housing that could be failing .According to the IPL it's 6 by 1.5 metric .You can buy a whole bag of them for about 5-6 bucks from Ebay .
The two Partners did not lock up but they really blew the smoke on start up .. After changing the o-ring that all stopped .-----I have no idea how to remove this pump as I've never worked on this model .

BTW if you go to E-bay and type in Stihl 041 oil pump you can see a picture of one if that might help explain it .
