Fresh Red Snapper in the South is $14.99/lb. Well worth ot though.
Mislabeled seafood weather intentional or not is very common. Do your research and be knowledgeable before buying. There are literally over a hundred species of "red snapper" worldwide. Genuine ARS (American Red Snapper) wholesale is about $17/lb. + for fillets and should be large, weighing no less than 2lbs. Flesh should be lighter in color (closer to white/translucent than deeper color/ light grey). Most cannot be absolutely identified unless it's still in the round (whole). I could go on for days. Grouper species are even worse for being "mislabeled" over 80 species in North America alone IIRC. And yes there are definitely more desirable and tastier species. ;-)

As you were, back to chainsaws. Very nice build as always Al

We've got at least a couple of snapper species here locally. Dentex and Fangri being the most expensive. About 60-80 EU per kilo in the restaurants.
