Sorry, it has been a while since I posted an update.
I got a Stihl OEM filter and an Oregon filter to try.
I still have an issue with cold start. But the Stihl filter is definitely better. the choke closes now. Also changed the control rod.
This saw runs great, but still have an issue with the cold start. I am now on the hunt for a carb that does not use the filter with the port.
