A friend of mine wants to add DP muffler covers to two of his saws, so I searched for them on ebay and found the whole darn muffler for what I was expecting to pay for just the cover.
They are painted dull black, and I got 4 of them, shipped, for less than $60.
The Good:
The dual port slot seems to be normal size, but the primary hole is humongous, so this muffler should not require any additional porting.
It is also 2.3 oz lighter than the original muffler.
The Bad:
It does not come with any screens, not even on the primary hole.
Obviously, the metal is thinner than the stock muffler.
Summary: I generally don't use screens, and I like that it comes aggressively ported. I always have trouble enlarging that original hole and getting it to look good. You don't have to worry about that with this unit. However, if you want screens, and heavier duty metal, it is not for you.
