Looks like the same thing they did on jonsered 920’s to make them a 930. The 930’s were strong saws.Looks like JB to blend the lower? That’s the same thing I’ve done minus the widows in the piston.
They run really well.
This is the first one I did like that. Stole the idea from Joey Hutton. He was the first I had ever seen open up the lowers to the case on the 55’s.
Pop up (.035) 353 piston. Squish cut.

Yes you can, just put dashes between the letters....like this: O-P-E. I made a legit reference to OPE over there and to my disgust I found it X'ed out like a cuss word when I posted the comment. Made the above change because, well...screw that.you can type the "other" site in here.... but not have much luck typing this site over there... LOL
I'll check it out when i get a chance.. thanks for the heads up
You’re getting a boost in volume for sure. If you can feed it, allows for duration.Looks like the same thing they did on jonsered 920’s to make them a 930. The 930’s were strong saws.
I’m still taking the 346.How does that stack up against say a 357??
Or probably more fair since closer in displacement, a 346 NE?
These saws are everywhere around here. I think I bought most of them lol. This is gonna sound crazy but at one time I had over a dozen of them. I’ve still got parts to build 9-10 I bet. They are cheap but reliable.
These 51/55’s are close to my heart, they were the first saw that I took a serious interest in modding. I’ve tried lots of different ideas.
If y’all need parts I could use the space
