Probably what you'll need to do is drill out the fuel hose lip in the tank and run a larger fuel hose with a big filter or no filter at all. A stock fuel line usually can't feed a race saw adequately. I've got an older tank here that would be perfect for that.

several of you nice guys are offering, I appreciate it for sure
this is running a bored out HT carb with some sort of adapter boot and the linkage is crazy too, no choke, etc.
custom mounts that use the two holes towards the rear of the carb box area, i will get a few pics tomorrow
as long as the tank has those two holes in the same place the rest is easy(ish)

Jacob i got a 395 tank im going to send to dave will it work ?

He would have to modify it. It would be better for me to send him an old tank to chop up and then you can sell me your 395 tank because I'm building a nice 395. :)

This is what I am working with, I know the linkage throttle lever looks wack-ass crazy but it works smooth and allows the throttle to open fully which the original cable didnt even before it broke and snapped off the impulse nipple (twice)

the carb mounts bolt down to the threaded stubs that come up out of the floor of the carb box, i am trying to keep the orignal flavor of this west coast classic, hence the mis-matched fasteners, they give it character
